A fun filled package of bike excitement and safety learning at the Uniplex on Friday
It’s all about superheroes and spokes with the Kids Bike Fest and Safety Quest coming up on Friday, July 4 from 9:30 am to 12 noon at the Humboldt Uniplex parking lot.
The morning promises to be fun-filled and action packed with important elements of safety learning for good measure. The event includes a variety of activities with safety stations, bike decorating, a parade with prizes and more. The Bike Fest and Safety Quest is sponsored by the Humboldt Early Years Family Resource Centre and Safe Communities Humboldt.

The Calgary Surge are hitting the hardwood at the Saddledome on July 9, and you could be there to catch all the action for free.
SURGE 2 STAMPEDE is part of this year’s Calgary Stampede lineup and brings Alberta’s CEBL powerhouse face-to-face with the Montreal Alliance. It’s a one-of-a-kind night of fast breaks, fierce dunks and Stampede spirit.
Taking place on BMO Kids’ Day, the event promises a blend of pro basketball with family fun and community energy. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
First ever Esk Fest features Canadian tale singer Mike Lynch
Locales like Manitou Beach, Humboldt and Watson have made a name for themselves with lively music scenes, but there’s a newcomer in this neck of the woods.
Look out for Esk Fest. The tiny hamlet east of Lanigan on the number 16 Highway is entering the fold with its first concert night. Featured on stage will be noted Canadian singer songwriter Mike Lynch, originally from the Niagra region.
Weyburn Agricultural Society Fair Days continue: Midway opens today
The Weyburn Agricultural Society Fair Days are well underway with three days of 4-H Club shows coming to a close yesterday. Now, the activity moves on to the Midway, and a packed schedule of events.
Tomorrow begins with the Chamber Summer Parade heading through the city beginning at 10:30 a.m. The gates open at the Midway at 11 a.m. with vendors opening their stands at noon. The Canuck Amusements will be in operation beginning at 1 p.m. Rumble in the Ring will start at 6:30 p.m. featuring a demo derby, quad pulls, and raciimg mowers.
