Commercial dog food has been available since about 1860. Approximately a century later in the 1950s, kibble as we know it today was introduced to the market. It became the standard for sustaining the family’s four-legged friend.
These days, this practice has been called into question as people have begun to wonder what goes into a tiny pellet of kibble. There is widespread interest in moving toward more natural alternatives, but why, how, and is it really necessary?

BRHC Emergency Department Ramp Construction Will Limit Traffic Flow

The Brandon Regional Health Centre (BRHC) Emergency Department exit ramp will be down to one lane only for vehicles and ambulances leaving this area beginning Tuesday, October 22.
There will be no parking on the ramp for anyone.
Emergency department drop-off and pick-up are still accessible; however, there is no parking or waiting due to limited space.
Do not park in front of or block the ambulance bays.

Cosmo Centre hosting Craft and Trade Show
The Cosmo Centre is providing you a great chance to start on some Christmas shopping. They're hosting a Craft and Trade Show on November 2, 9am to 3pm.
Anita Duncan, Organizer of the Show, says a large variety of vendors will be set up.
"Some of those vendors include people who make jewellery, card readers, make-up, crocheting, artwork on metal discs, quilts, baking, spice, homemade cards, and even something for your dog."
Proceeds from the event will go directly to the Cosmo Centre to keep it running.

Families have a fun day of pumpkin carving in Kleefeld
Stephen and Alicia Olyniuk hosted their annual pumpkin carving event on Saturday, where everyone is invited to bring their family and friends out to carve pumpkins and enjoy some hot chocolate.
The event is completely free, with pumpkins, carving tools, and warm drinks provided.
