It’s rare that a one person show whose central theme surrounds depression and suicide could be so uplifting, genuinely funny and engage an audience fully as part of its performance. That was exactly the experience on Friday, April 18 at the Humboldt and District Gallery as it played host to “Every Brilliant Thing,” staged by Burnt Thicket Theatre. The theatre in the round experience was the final show both for the production’s Saskatchewan run through the Organization of Saskatchewan Arts Councils, and the final Humboldt Show in the season’s OSAC lineup.

Warmer weather brings grass fire dangers
With warmer weather and strong drying conditions, the Humboldt Fire Department warns about the possibility of grass fires.
In a social media post, it says that the combination of dry grass, warmer temperatures and strong winds are the perfect mix for fast-moving wildfires this time of year. A spark from a cigarette, a fire pit or even a hot exhaust pipe can start a dangerous and uncontrollable blaze.

The amount and type of pollen in the air can vary depending on the season, however, pollen count is typically higher in the warmer months.
