Beavers fall short in critical game against Gulls
The Weyburn Beavers entered Tuesday night’s game against the Sylvan Lake Gulls with their playoff chances on the line. After Monday night’s loss, they would need to win out the final five games of the season and hope for some help from the opponents of the Swift Current 57s in order to clinch a berth in the postseason.
Beavers fall short despite early lead against Gulls
The Weyburn Beavers entered Monday night’s game against the Sylvan Lake Gulls four games back of the Swift Current 57s for the last playoff spot in the East Division and with six games left to play on the season. With one of the top teams in the West Division in town, the Beavers would keep the game close, but then the Gulls were able to take advantage of the Weyburn bullpen, scoring seven runs in the 7th inning, going on to win 8-3.
Home runs power Beavers to crucial victory
A three-run home run from Brayden Mayencourt, and a two-run blast from Ryan Muizelaar helped power the Weyburn Beavers to a 9-6 win over the Regina Red Sox Thursday night. The win snapped a three-game losing streak but would need some help from the Moose Jaw Miller Express in closing the gap on Swift Current for the final playoff berth in the East Division.
Weyburn Beavers baffled by blistering Bulls' blitz
The Weyburn Beavers returned from their road trip to the northernmost teams in the WCBL, and entertained the Lethbridge Bulls for a pair of games, with the first game played Sunday, and the follow-up on Monday. The Beavers would hold the lead in both games but would come up short both nights thanks to late rallies by the visitors.
All-Star quartet shines as Beavers top Swift Current
The Weyburn Beavers continued their trek away from Tom Laing Park Monday night with a game in Swift Current against the 57s. While the game was scheduled for nine innings, Mother Nature had other plans, and the game was called after seven innings. The situation didn’t dampen the spirits of the Beavers much, though, as they picked up a 7-4 win, moving to within 2 ½ games of Swift Current for the final playoff spot in the East Division.
Kovanen shines as Beavers secure win
The Weyburn Beavers added another W to the win column Wednesday night, defeating the Regina Red Sox with a final score of 5-3 at Tom Laing Park.
Coming off a victory against the Red Sox Tuesday in Regina, the Beavers aimed to maintain their winning momentum. They succeeded in doing so by capitalizing on key opportunities during the game. The Beavers took an early lead, scoring one run in the first inning, thanks to a double by Tyren Dorrance that cashed in Ryan Dauphinee.

The Weyburn Beavers, after splitting a weekend series with the Okotoks Dawgs, were in Regina Tuesday night. The Beavers would come out swinging, building off an early lead to pick up a 7-5 victory.
Zimmer, Dauphinee among Beavers selected for all-star game
The Western Canadian Baseball League unveiled the all-star teams for the upcoming All-Star Game Saturday in Okotoks, and the Weyburn Beavers will be well-represented.
Three pitchers from the Beavers will be representing Weyburn at the event, and three position players will be as well.
Offensive barrage leaves Beavers helpless in loss
The Okotoks Dawgs showcased their offensive prowess in a lopsided victory over the Weyburn Beavers on Sunday afternoon. The 15-1 win for the West Division-leading Dawgs came just one day after the Beavers had topped Okotoks 4-2.
Zimmer shines on the mound as Beavers secure win
The Weyburn Beavers, who entered action Saturday afternoon last in the East Division of the Western Canadian Baseball League, entertained the Okotoks Dawgs at Tom Laing Park. Okotoks came into the game in first place overall in the league.
The Beavers, however, looked like the odds-on favourite in the game, as they handily topped the Dawgs 4-2, snapping a 10-game losing streak.
