Organizers of Melodies of Hope, originally scheduled for Saturday, April 26 say the event will no longer go ahead due to low ticket sales, making it financially unfeasible to proceed.
In a statement, the Cochrane Pregnancy Care Centre expressed deep appreciation for the community's support and noted the difficult decision was made with a heavy heart.
All ticket holders will receive automatic refunds, though those who wish to donate the value of their ticket can do so online.

Cochrane RCMP roll out summer bike patrols
As the weather warms up, Cochrane RCMP officers are trading in their cruisers for mountain bikes as part of the Summer Patrol Program, a seasonal initiative that brings police officers into closer contact with the community.
The program officially rolled out this month, with four bikes freshly tuned up at Big Hill Cycle and ready to go.
Cst. Nathan Moore says the patrols provide a more approachable and visible police presence throughout town.
Education taxes rising, town campaign aims to clarify property tax breakdown
Today, the town launched a campaign to try to distinguish between what portion of property tax notices are for the municipality and what amount is being collected on behalf of the province.

Second skatepark rolling into Cochrane this summer
Cochrane’s skateboarding community is getting a major boost this summer with the addition of a brand-new skatepark in Fireside.
The project is part of a community enhancement initiative led by the Fireside Homeowners Association and supported by Calbridge Developments, in partnership with Shredz Shop and Newline Skateparks.
Construction is expected to begin in June and wrap up by October.
Garter snakes slither into spring along Bow River

While their sudden slithering presence can catch some off guard, garter snakes are completely harmless to humans and play a key role in the local ecosystem.
