The Swift Current Broncos have now won three games in a row after a 6-4 win over the Seattle Thunderbirds on Friday night at the InnovationPlex.
Six different goal scorers got on the board for the Broncos who were actually outshot 19-9 in period number one but held a 2-1 lead.

Broncos earn back-to-back wins for first time this season
The Swift Current Broncos have won back-to-back games for the first time this season after a 3-2 victory over the Prince Albert Raiders on Wednesday night.
The two clubs traded goals in the first period, started by Ryder Ritchie for the Raiders at the 3:27 mark of the first period. Connor Gabriel responded for the Broncos before Brayden Dube gave the Raiders the lead back. But that was only for a few minutes as Clarke Caswell finished off a tic-tac-toe play from Tyson Laventure and Mat Ward.
Kettles named to Team Canada Red for World Under-17 Hockey Challenge
Hockey Canada announced Monday that Broncos defenceman Peyton Kettles has been named to Team Canada Red for the upcoming World Under-17 Hockey Challenge on Prince Edward Island from Nov. 2 to 11.
“We are very happy for Peyton, he deserves this opportunity and has had an excellent start to his Western Hockey League career this season,” said General Manager Chad Leslie. “With all of the injuries and players away at camps, Peyton has been asked to play some big minutes for our team which will benefit him heading to the U-17 Challenge.”
Dyck, Laventure lead Broncos to win over Pats
The Swift Current Broncos returned home and earned two points as they defeated the Regina Pats 2-1 on Sunday evening.
It was a low event game with only a combined 44 shots on goal, but the Broncos got the first goal of the contest as Tyson Laventure intercepted a Pats clearing attempt and fired it past Ewan Huet to make it 1-0 late in the first period.
Broncos finish BC swing with loss to Rockets in Kelowna
The Swift Current Broncos have finished their B.C. road swing with a 6-3 loss to the Kelowna Rockets on Wednesday night.
The Broncos got out to a great start in this one as they jumped out to a 2-0 lead late in the first period as Josh Fluker's first of the year, and Clarke Caswell’s second of the season gave the Broncos the lead. The Broncos out chanced the Rockets and outshot them 12-6 as well.
Wonderful Wards: Mathew, Sam shine in Broncos win over Blazers
The Swift Current Broncos defeated the Kamloops Blazers on Tuesday by a 6-3 score in the fourth of the five game B.C. road swing.
The Broncos got things going just five minutes into the game as Josh Filmon notched his fourth goal of the season, extending his point streak to seven games. That was followed up by Mathew Ward notching his fifth of the year to kick off the third period, giving the Broncos a 2-0 lead.
Coupland Named WHL’s Rookie of the Week
The Western Hockey League (WHL) announced today that forward Ty Coupland has been named Rookie of the Week.
The North Vancouver, B.C. product played in three games over the first portion of the Broncos B.C. road swing, earning five points in that stretch. While he was held pointless on Wednesday in Prince George, Coupland caught fire on Friday and Saturday scoring twice in Vancouver to go along with an assist, and then scoring again in Victoria on Saturday, adding one more assist for good measure.
Broncos fall to Royals on island
A tough one on Saturday night for the Swift Current Broncos as they fell 7-2 to the Victoria Royals at Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre.
Victoria scored 18 seconds into the hockey game and things went downhill from there as the Royals would tack on three more before the first period came to a close and the Broncos were in a hole early.
Broncos earn first win of BC swing with victory over Giants
The Swift Current Broncos earned their first win of their BC swing on Friday night as they defeated the Vancouver Giants 6-3.
After falling 2-1 to Prince George on Wednesday, the offense came pretty easy it seemed for the Broncos who put six goals by Brett Mirwald on 30 shots. Assistant Coach Tars McEwen said it was good to see pucks go in of Friday that didn’t on Saturday.
