The crowds were bustling, and the air was vibrant with music on Thursday night. Downtown Humboldt came alive with the annual Moonlight Madness and launch of the Festival of Wreaths at the Gallery. Chilly shoppers and singers stopped by the Gallery for hot chocolate, and Gallery patrons got their first look at the incredible lineup of goods on which to bid in the Festival of Wreaths Fundraiser.

Broncos win over Notre Dame leads into Grey Cup Watch Weekend
The Humboldt Broncos have sorted out their mid-November plan of attack to take a 6-2 road win over the Notre Dame Hounds last night.
Ethan Zielke launched the scoring early in the first period followed up by a shorted handed effort from Ben Kotylak and a power play marker by Timothy Kim.
City of Humboldt continues snow removal from streets
Humboldt's Public Works continue to contend with the early snowfall.
The City notes that all streets have been completed and crews are moving to cul-de-sacs from Wednesday, November 16 to Friday, November 18. The City is requesting residents to keep cars off the streets in the work areas in order to speed up the process.
Catalytic converter stolen from vehicle in Watson
The Humboldt/Lanigan RCMP and Crime Stoppers are investigating a theft of a catalytic converter that took place at approximately 1 a.m. on November 8th, 2022 in the Town of Watson. Two unknown individuals driving a green older style Chevrolet 2 door truck stole the catalytic converter of off a parked truck.
Snow blast causes challenges on highways
The snowfall warning has been lifted for the Humboldt area, but the 10-15 cm of snow left in its wake has left our highways in grim shape. As of 5:00 am, Highway 5 has drifts and heavy snowpack. Numerous cars are in the ditch along Highway 5 east. Visibilities last night were reduced to zero at times, and that, combined with the snowpack, made for treacherous conditions.
Once the plows hit area highways, driving conditions will be closer to winter travel, but for now, the Saskatchewan Highway Hotline is advising travel not recommended on Highway 5 east and west of Humboldt.
Broncos go 0-3 on south east road swing
It was a tough weekend on the road for the Humboldt Broncos as their flu-riddled ranks took it on the chin from both the Estevan Bruins and the Weyburn Red Wings.
The Bruins jumped out to an early lead on Thursday and kept the pressure on the Broncos.
netted four goals in the first on their way to a 6-1 win. Broncos goaltending Tristan Boileau made an exit after the first period, and the Bronco limited the scoring for the remainder of the game, but struggled to gain any real traction
Government of Saskatchewan held career fair for Ukrainian refugees
On November 1, the Government of Saskatchewan hosted a career fair for Ukrainian refugees. It took place at the Viterra International Trade Centre in Regina.
The Government of Saskatchewan said that around 90 employers, agencies, and chambers of commerce were on hand to provide information about employment opportunities across Saskatchewan. Representatives from the agriculture, construction, health, hospitality, industrial manufacturing, mining, retail, tech, and transportation industries also participated.
