Mind, Body and Spirit Fair puts a new spin on personal wellness
Buoyed by summer temperatures, the crowd at the Lake Lenore Mind, Body and Spirit Fair found vendors, practitioners and presenters galore, each with an offering tailored to supporting individual wellness. Attendees could get a tarot card reading, try Reiki and access bars treatments, and explore the healing and grounding wares.
Leanne Brinkman was one of the organizers who is set to bring a new view to wellness for people in the area.
Richardson Pioneer Men’s Fastball League kicks off with Rosebud Royals vs Wynyard Blues
The Richardson Pioneer Men’s Fastball League kicked off its season on May 13 on Northshore Fishing Lake with the Rosebud Royals hosting the Wynyard Blues.
Kobe Faubert pitched for the Royals, throwing 15 strikeouts and Greg Hill threw for the Blues with 14 strikeouts.
Wynyard scored a few runs in the 3rd inning with a home run by Tayler Jordan.
The Blues would get a few runs from rookies Austin Hilts with two hits and Evan Fisher with two walks to set up a two-run double by Josh Jordan.

Theatre goers who travelled to Meacham’s Dancing Sky Theatre experience a show like no other with “The Curst.” It’s the story of a band so unlucky that the prospect of success seems like a hollow pursuit for the tenacious band mates. It’s based on the real life story of Library Voice, a talented and revered Regina group formed in the 2000s, dubbed the unluckiest band in Canada.
Positive Ticketing Campaign back this summer
Safe Communities Humboldt is partnering once again with Humboldt’s Emergency Services team to provide a summer of treats with the Positive Ticketing Campaign. Kids being safe on their wheels this season may be “pulled over” by Emergency Services personnel to receive a positive ticket.

Vandals strike in Middle Lake: RCMP needs your help
Humboldt RCMP are looking for vandals who struck the Middle Lake Town Hall.
On the night of April 22, 2023, the building on Railway Avenue in Middle Lake was vandalized. An unknown person(s) tore off the drain spouts on the south side of the building, located on Railway Avenue in Middle Lake, resulting in three drain spouts needing to be replaced.
Nature Conservancy announces gift of conservation from Canada to honour King's coronation
In honour of the coronation of His Highness King Charles III, the Government of Canada has marked the event with a gift of nature.
A release from the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) states that it is honoured to be entrusted with the responsibility of delivering a gift of nature on behalf of the Canadian people to mark the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III.
The organization has been entrusted with $100,000 from the Federal Government for a project that will conserve habitat across the country
"Visualizing Community Through Time and Place” workshop heading for Museum
The Humboldt and District Museum is hosting a workshop entitled “Visualizing Community Through Time and Place” on Tuesday, May 16 at 6:30 pm.
A release from the Museum states that in the workshop, participants will be taken through an act of creative learning to realize one’s sense of place by accessing the past and seeking better
understandings of their community. The goal is to add to an individual’s knowledge and self-understandings, and to encourage stronger relations in the Humboldt area.
