It’s a full hockey weekend for the Humboldt Broncos, and that includes Family Day on February 20.
The Broncos Family Day Game, with free admission courtesy of Terry’s No Frills and the Broncos, goes at 3:00 pm on Monday. The free family skate with the Broncos happens right after the game against the Kindersley Klippers.
Along with the game, there’s added excitement for parents and adult fans with a guaranteed $5000 50/50 pool, sponsored by Boston Pizza.

First round ramps up in HCAA Junior basketball playdowns
It was back on the courts with HCAA junior basketball last night with the final two first round games for the boys in the opening bracket of sixteen. Foam Lake and Watrous now advance to the next round with games tonight and tomorrow.
Last night was also the close for the opening round of the junior girls matchups with Annaheim coming out on top in a thrilling overtime win against Humboldt St. Dominic. Wynyard also advances to the semi-final round.
Boys 16U Humboldt Chaos Volleyball Club results from Regina RVC Invitational Tournament
The Boys 16U Humboldt Chaos Volleyball Club placed second in the Regina RVC Invitational Tournament.
The Tournament was held on February 3 - 4, where they met Regina's top 16U club in the final.
The team played their best and came out in second place.

The RCMP Major Crimes Division is investigation a suspicious death and circumstances around a theft in east central Saskatchewan.
Shortly after 4:00 a.m. February 10, 2023, Esterhazy and Broadview RCMP received a report of a break and enter and suspicious death at a residence approximately 20 kilometers south of Stockholm and Esterhazy.

RCMP looking for vandals/thieves in Middle Lake post office case
Humboldt RCMP are on the lookout for those responsible for damaging lock boxes at the Middle Lake post office.
It's a case of mischief/theft under $5000 that happened in the building located on the 100 block of 1st Avenue South in the village.
Sometime between December 29, 2021 and December 30th, 2021, unknown suspect(s) went into the building and damaged several lock boxes and an undisclosed amount of property was taken. Humboldt/ Lanigan RCMP are looking for information regarding this crime.
