The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) along with the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) have announced a pair of showcases that the two leagues will take part during the 2024-25 season.

In November, the two leagues will take part in an event in Warman serving as an elite identification camp for the 2024 World Junior A Challenge. More details will be announced at a later date.

The annual SJHL-MJHL showcase will take place in January 2025 in Winnipeg. 60 players from each league will be invited and will be divided into three teams. One team of 18 and under players with two more teams of players 20 and under.

Kevin Saurette, MJHL Commissioner stated in a release, “The MJHL is excited to continue to grow our partnership with the SJHL for the benefit of all involved. These events will give elite athletes from each league an incredible opportunity to showcase their skills and abilities in a high-performance environment in front of scouts from all higher levels of hockey.”

SJHL Commissioner Kyle McIntyre added, “We look forward to continuing to build on the success of joint events with the MJHL. We are very pleased to be able to provide these collaborative opportunities for our elite players.”
