It is with great sadness that the family of Mr. Jacob Peter Wiebe announce his passing on July 31, 2024 in Ponteix, Saskatchewan at the age of 45 years old. The funeral service for Jacob Wiebe took place on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. at the Old Colony Church in Vanguard, Saskatchewan with Reverend Jacob Guenther officiating. The pallbearers were his sons; Andrew Wiebe, Danny Wiebe, Johnny Wiebe, Ricky Wiebe, his nephew Johnny Tiechroeb, and his brother – in - law Peter Tiechroeb.

Jacob was born in Cuauhtemoc, Chihuahua, Mexico on August 16, 1978 to Peter and Anna Wiebe. Jacob attended school in Mexico and finished his schooling in Ontario. Jacob married Annie Banman in Casa Grande Mexico on June 27, 1999. Right after marriage they moved to Kansas working for a farmer. After 5 years, they moved to Leamington, Ontario where Jacob worked for a fishing factory. Jacob was diagnosed with diabetes in 2008, and since that time Jacob never lived without health problems again. Then in 2012, Jacob was diagnosed with CIDP and he was no longer able to work.

Jacob liked to build things out of wood. He had a passion for making Mennonite sausage. His goal for when they moved to Saskatchewan in 2021 was to be able to farm and raise animals with his family. Jacob loved his family and was very proud to become a grandpa. He enjoyed cooking for his family and enjoyed sitting at the lake having a coffee. He devoted his time to care for his parents in the nursing home and he loved them very much as well as all his siblings. He was a strong, caring man that had lots of compassion for his family.

Jacob is survived by his wife Annie Wiebe, their children; Andrew (Helen), Danny (Emily), Johnny, Ricky and Rebeca Wiebe, grandchildren; Cecelia and Olivia Wiebe, his mom Anna Wiebe, brother Pete, sisters; Tina, Helen, Anna, Maria, Nancy, Susan and Margaret and 45 nieces and nephews.

Jacob is predeceased by his dad Peter Wiebe, sister; Elizabeth Loewen and Eva Wiebe and 5 nieces and nephews.
