It was gold medals all around at the SaskAbilities Superhero Walk Wheel Run Fun Olympics held this past Saturday at Riverside Park.
Six fully accessible games were set up allowing participants to test their skills at everything from Javeling to egg and spoon races.
City Councillor Ryan Switzer was on hand to MC the event and spoke about his desire to be involved.
"SaskAbilities just does such great work in Swift Current so anytime they need any sort of help with MC'ing an event or something like that I will always run not walk. It's just the positive vibes and everything and everyone here having a great time."
Switzer added that it's important for people to find their fit in their community and to fit in and find a role and a way to contribute and SaskAbilities have done that for decades.

Switer kept the crowd entertained as he MC'd the event and spoke about the importance of SaskAbilities within the community.
"Partners in Employment is a great program that's under the SaskAbilities umbrella you know helping people find employment. The work they do and different things they volunteer for and just the way they give a diverse group of citizens of varying abilities the opportunity to participate and be a part of the community and that's so important."
All funds raised from the event go towards sending SaskAbilities participants to Camp Easter Seal as well as their community programs such as Summer Fun and Social Leisure Youth Program.
