The current vice-chair for the Chinook School Board is looking to be re-elected for her third term on the school board.
Dianne Hahn has been a trustee on the Chinook School Board since 2016 and is keen to continue putting the needs and education of students first.
Hahn highlighted her passion for seeing students and youth thrive and plans to utilize collaboration to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for students to learn.
"I just feel like there's more work to be done," she said. "I just believe so strongly in the well-being of children and education for them."
The life-long resident of Swift Current noted that she went through Chinook School Division herself and currently works as the administrator for the Rural Municipality of Excelsior.
"I really feel that our biggest challenge is funding, we need to be funded fairly and equitably for all of our students," Hahn added. "We need to be advocating at the provincial level and we need to call on the support of the people around us."
