A local singer from Weyburn, Saskatchewan is celebrating his debut album.

On November 22nd Brayden King released "Stayin' Wild" which he says is comprised of twelve songs that they have been working on over the past three years.

Reflecting on the album release King said "I didn't think that we would be releasing an album three years in to my career. It just came about really spontaneously, we realized we were sitting on twelve songs and we said this feels like an album. It all fits really well together."

King has been singing since he was two and performing on stage since the age of twelve. He says he was in a few bands growing up but over the last three years he has been working on his solo career.

There is a personal aspect to the album as King says he was involved with the writing of each of the songs included. Five were written by himself alone and the rest were collaborations with friends and other artists. In regards to the writing process King said "I love collaborating on songs but sometimes comes about a song that is so personal to you that you end up writing it by yourself which is a good thing."

Those looking to take a listen to King's new album can find it on Apple Music, Spotify and Itunes.

Looking towards the future, King says that in a few weeks they are excited to be announcing his first major headline tour across Canada which will be taking place in the new year.
