Put on your leg warmers and dancing shoes and get ready to ring in 2025 80's style at the Living Sky Casino New Years Eve party featuring RetroStatix.

Group member Lou Fontaine provides details on the groups musical flashback genre.

"We do alot of the stuff from the 80's. The stuff that was popular and the stuff you love to dance to. Not only is it fun to be a part of the crowd but it's also fun for us to play these tunes."

Fontaine adds that although the group members have only been together for a couple of years, they all have been friends and best friends for alot of years. In fact, Fontaine says its embarrassing to say that some of the songs they play, they played first time around together way back in the 80's.

Although the 80's genre covers a wide variety of artists and songs, group member Fontaine says there is one particular aspect he is looking forward to exploring.

"For me, it's my first time working with a singer that's female. So we have male singers in the band but we also have our lead singer who is a female. So alot of these songs by Pat Benatar and songs by females that I have never played before I finally am able to play in this band and it's exciting and fun to play them because alot of them are really good songs."

RetroStatix member Monty P. Marshall is in agreement with Fontaine and says that it brings diversity to the song list that is not only challenging for them as musicians to be able to cover some of the more intricate and harder songs but also to now be able to perform songs they really couldn't previously do or felt they couldn't do a good enough job without the right vocalist.

Fontaine says they have been looking forward to ringing in 2025 for a long time and are excited to come out to play and party.

Doors open at 8pm with the show beginning at 9pm. Tickets are available online here
