Austin Heid, 26, will face trial on multiple charges, including assault and possession of a weapon. Heid is facing a total of 23 charges, five of which have been set for trial on June 24, 2025. The remaining 18 charges, which include offenses related to drug possession, trafficking, impaired driving, and dangerous operation of a vehicle resulting in bodily harm, have been adjourned until January 21, 2025, for further discussion regarding separate trial dates.

Heid has pleaded not guilty to the following charges, which will be addressed at the June 24, 2025, trial date:

one count, operation of a conveyance while prohibited, Section 320.18, Criminal Code; and
two counts, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm to any person, Section 264.1(1a), Criminal Code; and
one count, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, Section 88(1), Criminal Code; and
one count, assault, Section 266, Criminal Code.

The remaining charges were adjourned for further discussion on January 21, 2025. These charges include:

two counts, possession of substance, Section 4(1), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act; and
one count, trafficking of substance, Section 5(1), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act; and
one count, accident resulting in bodily harm, Section 320.15(2), Criminal Code; and
one count, failure to stop after accident resulting in bodily harm, Section 320.16(2), Criminal Code; and
two counts, operation while impaired causing bodily harm, Section 320.14(2), Criminal Code; and
two counts, dangerous operation causing bodily harm, Section 320.13(2), Criminal Code; and
one count, possession of property obtained by crime, Section 354(1a), Criminal Code; and
one count, motor vehicle theft, Section 333.1, Criminal Code; and
one count, breaking and entering to steal firearm, Section 98, Criminal Code; and
one count, escape and being at large without excuse, Section 145(1), Criminal Code; and
one count, failure to comply with order, Section 145(5a), Criminal Code; and
one count, assault with a weapon or causing bodily harm, Section 267(a), Criminal Code; and
one count, failure to attend court or surrender, Section 145(2b), Criminal Code; and
one count, operation of a conveyance while prohibited, Section 320.18, Criminal Code; and
one count, disobeying order of court, Section 127(1), Criminal Code.
