It has been a steady mix of calls for the Rosetown and Kyle RCMP to start the year. The latest report encompasses the period between January 3-9, 2025.

The first call of note in the report took officers to an abandoned vehicle parked on a grid road near Zealandia. Members located the vehicle and eventually spoke to the registered owner, who shared the vehicle was just waiting on a tow truck.

A pair of erratic drivers were detailed in the report, one on January 3 and the other on January 5, members unable to locate the vehicle in either case. On January 4 Kyle RCMP mediated in a local family dispute. Another bulk of calls included four wellbeing requests, two in Rosetown, one in Kyle, and one in Beechy.

Rosetown members received a missing person call on January 5, where thankfully the subject was found shortly after. January 7 saw Rosetown RCMP beginning investigation into a local hit and run, and on Thursday they opened investigation into a motor vehicle collision on Highway #7.

Kyle RCMP would deal with a pair of vehicle collisions on January 8, two of three calls on the day, as January 8 also saw the detachment opening up an investigation into fraud. The final call of the week also went to Kyle members, who began investigation into a trespassing complaint in Rosetown early Thursday afternoon.

During the week police also issued 33 traffic related charges and dealt with one false alarm.
