Those interested in volunteering or learning more about MyCityCare will have the opportunity at their open house this Thursday at 6:30pm at Great Plains College

Tom Weppler from My city Care provides details.

"Were inviting those that are interested as a kind of recruitment for MyCityCare. You may have heard about MyCityCare or you haven't heard about MyCityCare were giving you an invitation to come down to Great Plains College."

Weppler says the event will serve as a meet and greet with the team and a safe place to ask questions along with a chance for them to share their vision to continue to impact the community.

The next event on their agenda will be their first pop up shop of 2025 taking place February 8th from 11am to 2pm at the Great Plains College gym.

Shannon Bennet with MyCityCare says they are always looking for donations and details where those can be dropped off.

"Our donation drop off is at Elite Automotive Repair they are at 1400 South Service Rd West. You can drop off Monday through Friday between 9 am and 4 pm. There is a MyCityCare sign right on door when you drive in so you know where to go."

Bennet adds that the greatest need right now is for toddler clothing.

In addition, Weppler adds that it's good to see the awareness out there. He says the city right now is coming together to address needs in a way that impacts the community and gives the best results.
