Statistics Canada's latest job numbers show that Red Deer has the highest unemployment rate amongst Canada's major cities.
Red Deer's January unemployment rate was sitting at 9.7 per cent, down from 10 per cent in December.
Meanwhile, unemployment rates in Calgary and Edmonton remained relatively steady.
Edmonton was at 7.2 per cent in January, down 0.3 per cent from December. Calgary dropped to 7.7 per cent in January from 8.1 per cent the month previous.
All three cities came in above the national average of 6.6 per cent.
