The RCMP are providing an update on a collision which closed down a section of Highway 39 yesterday.
On February 13, at around 1:15 p.m., Estevan RCMP received a report of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 39, approximately six kilometres southeast of Midale.
RCMP responded with assistance from the local fire, EMS and STARS. Estevan and Weyburn RCMP Collision Reconstruction also attended.
In their investigation, RCMP found that a tow truck and semi-trailer had collided. The tow truck driver was transported to hospital by STARS with injuries described as serious in nature. The driver of the semi-trailer was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital with injuries described as minor.
Both drivers were alone in their vehicles.
Highway 39 was initially closed for their investigation but has since reopened.
RCMP are continuing their investigation of the collision.
