Red Deer's home sales are off to a hot start this year.

According to the latest Market Update from Central Alberta Realtors Association (CARA), sales are up month-to-month and have also risen compared to last year.

There were 130 units sold in February 2025, an increase of 34 from January 2025. Red Deer saw 110 units sold in February 2024.

New listings for Red Deer were at 145 for February 2025, with total inventory at 172, which is down 33 per cent from last year.

There have been 225 home sales year-to-date, compared to 200 at the same point in 2024.

The average sale price in Red Deer was $398,215 in February 2025, a slight increase from January's average of $397,529. The average sale price in February 2024 was $340,114, a 14.4 per cent increase.

There were 312 units sold in February 2025 across all of Central Alberta, up from 287 in January.

$401,511 was the average sale price for February 2025, down from $412,088 in January 2025.
