RM Of Swift Current Reeve Ramona Dyck says she and council will be hitting the local roads in order to identify repairs needed to them through a road tour.
Dyck explains how the significant amount of snow received this year impacts the roads.
"We've had some issues over the Winter with clearing roads, I think everyone is aware of that. We've had more snow than we have for a while, and we've been doing our best to take care of those roads but there always then will be issues arising in the Spring when everything starts to melt."
In addition, Dyck details the thought process behind the tour.
"We just decided as a council that it'll be a good idea for us to get out there actually physically on the roads of our RM and take a look at what needs attention so that we can address that and so that our Foreman will know the direction that he should take on doing roadwork this year and in coming years. "
Dyck says that should the public see issues such as a washed out culvert they can let the office know and that information will be passed along to the Foreman.
