Cochrane RCMP played a key role in the arrest of two suspects following a vehicle theft and dangerous police pursuit that began in Canmore and ended in Calgary.
The incident started around 11 p.m. on April 7, when Canmore RCMP responded to a report of mischief and theft from a vehicle in an underground parking garage. Officers located a suspect vehicle, which fled from police.
According to Mounties, while attempting to contain the scene, a second vehicle connected to the incident entered the area and also fled, intentionally crashing into a police cruiser and disabling it.
Cochrane RCMP assisted in tracking the fleeing suspects, working alongside Calgary Police Service and the HAWCS helicopter unit.
