It was a fast-paced, fun-fuelled Friday evening at the Swift Current Motor Speedway for a round of stock car races.

Despite being rained out on Saturday, the Swift Current Stock Car Association was out with a full lineup of cars on Friday as the races kicked off at 8:00 p.m.

Dilon Smith, number 21 in the modifieds, shared that a lot of the drivers didn't come out because of the rain.

"The cars go fast, it's real loud," he said. "My car goes fast."

The feature winners included Brianna Cook in the minis, Serge Perrault in the hobby stocks, Tyson Crowe in the street stocks, and Coty Smith in the modifieds. 

Heat winners included Coty Smith in the modifieds, Wayne Sadowski and Kevin Schafer in the street stocks, Zack White and Tylor McGrath in the hobbies, along with Jonathan Nelson and Terry Fehr in the minis.

Before Friday's races, Broden Berg, number 37 in the hobby stocks, said, "Hopefully there's just a night of clean, good racing, and we even got a truck joining us today, he'll be racing with the hobbies."
