Three people are facing multiple charges after RCMP recovered a stolen truck near Whitecap earlier this month.
On Aug. 10, around 4 p.m., Outlook RCMP received a report of a stolen truck travelling on Highway 219 in the Rural Municipality of Rudy. Police later determined the truck had been recently stolen in Saskatoon.
Officers found the vehicle stuck in a field in a rural area south of Whitecap. Investigators say those inside had fled on foot.
With assistance from Corman Park Police Service and Saskatoon police, a drone and a police dog were used in the search. Two men and a woman were arrested and the stolen vehicle was recovered.
38-year-old Jamie Dyck of Meacham is facing eight charges, including resisting a peace officer, dangerous driving, two counts of flight from police, break and enter, mischief over $5,000 and wearing a disguise with intent to commit an offence.
40-year-old Kristi Kraft of Saskatoon is charged with break and enter and mischief over $5,000.
41-year-old Christopher Prentice of Saskatoon is charged with six offences, including possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, dangerous driving, flight from police, break and enter, mischief over $5,000 and failing to comply with a probation order.
RCMP say Prentice was also arrested on a Canada-wide warrant issued by St. Albert RCMP in Alberta.
Dyck and Prentice appeared in Saskatoon provincial court on Aug. 13 while Kraft is scheduled to appear in Outlook provincial court on Sept. 18.
