Innisfail RCMP, working with the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team’s Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) unit, have arrested a Penhold man following a search warrant on Sept. 18.
Jefferey Johnstone, 44, has been charged with making child pornography available, possession of child pornography and accessing child pornography.
Police say the search was part of an ongoing investigation.
Johnstone was released after a hearing before a justice of the peace and is scheduled to appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Red Deer on Oct. 16.
Anyone with information about online child exploitation is asked to contact local RCMP or visit www.cybertip.ca.
