One person is dead and another was taken to hospital following a collision Tuesday in western Manitoba.
The Manitoba RCMP says that officers from the Yellowhead detachment responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 10, approximately 6 km south of Erickson, around 7 a.m..
Police say that a southbound vehicle collided with a northbound vehicle on the highway.
The driver and sole occupant of the northbound vehicle, a 53-year-old male from Onanole, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver and sole occupant of the southbound vehicle, a 45-year-old male from Onanole, was taken to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
Yellowhead RCMP along with a Forensic Collision Reconstructionist, continue to investigate.
The identity of the deceased has not been released at this time
