A fatal collision northwest of Vibank, near Davin, claimed two lives Saturday evening.
In a release issued Tuesday, the RCMP stated the collision happened on Highway 48 around 6:30 p.m. They reported a truck collided with a car, and the drivers of both vehicles were declared deceased at the scene. A man who was a passenger in the car was taken to hospital via STARS with what were described as serious injuries.
The man who was driving the truck was identified as a 47-year-old from the state of Arkansas. The driver of the car was identified as a 22-year-old woman from Kipling. RCMP advised the families of both of the victims have been notified.
The collision is still under investigation by the White Butte RCMP detachment along with a collision reconstructionist.
