The Weyburn Silver Seals Swim Team are hosting a registration night tonight, getting ready for the upcoming swim season. The registration night will allow competitive speed swimmers a chance to sign up and will have board members available for those interested in asking questions. Twyna Molner, vice president of the SIlver Seals, hopes to see lots of interested swimmers there 

Kick it!: Weyburn hosting Martial Arts Championship this Saturday

Over 160 karate competitors will be coming to Weyburn this weekend for the 40th annual International Martial Arts Championship. On Saturday, March 22nd, the best martial artists will be showcasing their skills, and Saskatchewan competitors will be fighting to qualify for the World Karate Commision provincials. Robyn Vilcu, student at the Vilcu Karate Klub, showcases the fun to be had.

Final chance to attend the free Come Try Lacrosse night tonight

The Weyburn Lacrosse Association is hosting their final Come Try Lacrosse night tonight at the Credit Union Sparks Centre. A perfect opportunity to introduce kids aged 3-17 to the sport of lacrosse.  

Kids aged 3-10 is from 6:30-7:30 P.M, females ages 3-17 from 7:30-8:15, and then finally ages 11-17 will be from 8:15-9:00 P.M. Staci Lebrecque, President of the Weyburn Lacrosse Association, says bring a helmet, gloves, shoes, and a good attitude.

The Weyburn Beavers are getting ready to host their Sports Dinner this weekend, featuring some pretty prominent names. On Saturday, March 15th, Toronto Blue Jays and Sportsnet Central analyst Jamie Campbell, alongside for Blue Jays pitcher John Axford will take the stage and set the stage for the upcoming 2025 baseball year for the Beavers. President of the Weyburn Beavers, Garnet Hansen, is excited for the night.
