Curtain rises on upcoming productions ticket blitz

The curtains will rise next month on Swift Current Little Theatre's upcoming production of "As long as we both shall live" by Sean Grennan. 

Actor in the production Adam Unvoas provides some details on the show. 

"The show is a murder mystery set at this lovely upper-class wedding. There are alot of twists and turns, very funny and almost bombastic comedy I would say."

Patrons can grab their tickets early by attending the ticket blitz happening tonight from 5:30 - 7:00pm at the Swift Current Mall by the Safeway entrance.

Funds were raised and given away this weekend as our 50/50 For Change in support of SaskAbilities continues. 

Morning show host Tara Garcia called our lucky early bird winner Shauna McBurney to give her the good news. McBurney had purchased her winning ticket just the day before at our live action broadcast at Nijo Yard Supplies Plus.

When asked her plans for her $500 winnings McBurney said it could be used for many things. 

"Oh, I don't know there are lots of places it could go."

Nola is our third Ticket Takeoff Winner

We made our third draw this morning for our Ticket Takeoff contest and Nola Zinn was our lucky winner!

Nola is off to The Esplanade to see "God Is A Scottish Drag Queen" this Saturday which is sure to be a fantastic and hilarious show and she wont have to worry about driving home as we have also hooked her up with a one-night stay courtesy of the Medicine Hat Lodge. 

Haunted Town gears up for another frightful and charitable season

Despite the warmer weather we are into the fall season and a reminder of this is the fact that we are just weeks away from the opening of the Haunted Town of Little Sur-Mer.

For the past eight year's this festive attraction has kept our nightmares fresh while giving back to the community.

Each year brings with it new changes and additions as president of the haunted town Andy Keys details what we can expect this year.

Fun was the name of the game at the SaskAbilities Fun Olympics

It was gold medals all around at the SaskAbilities Superhero Walk Wheel Run Fun Olympics held this past Saturday at Riverside Park.

Six fully accessible games were set up allowing participants to test their skills at everything from Javeling to egg and spoon races.

City Councillor Ryan Switzer was on hand to MC the event and spoke about his desire to be involved.
