Manitoba author releases second book in series rooted in real life mystery

A two-time Manitoba author is releasing her second book wrapped in intrigue that stems from real-life events that are stranger than fiction.

Iris Munchinsky was born in Scotland but grew up in Ontario before she and her husband made their home in Virden, Manitoba. 

Her second book in the Shadow Series, Shadow of the Masters, was released on December 15, 2022.

Local singer/songwriter Ryan Ramsdale opens up about the struggles of his life, how he met God, and now writes songs to God with the talent bestowed upon him.

When Ryan Ramsdale first got into music, he was 15 years old and had his heart set on becoming like one of the greats in the music industry, like Elvis Presley. 

From Zimbabwe to Winkler: new Christian artist brings Afrobeat to Manitoba

The goal of Chiwaz's new music is to bring praise, honour, and glory to the Lord as he collaborates with other artists pursuing deeper relationships with God. 

Shepherd Chiwandire, known musically as Chiwaz, is originally from Zimbabwe and lived there before moving to Winkler, Manitoba. 

As for what brought the artist to Canada, he shares, "My wife. We met when she came to Zimbabwe on a missions trip."

The couple has been married now for eight years and is currently expecting their third child. 

Banding Together: Winnipeg School Division Band students perform this Friday night

This Friday, January 13 at 7:00pm the Winnipeg School Division will be holding their Divisional Honor Band Concert at École Secondaire Sisler High School. The Winnipeg School Division is the largest school division in the Province and there are hundreds of students who take part in band at the nine High Schools that make up just the Senior High part of the Division.
