Trump's appointees have criticized Trudeau, warned of border issues with Canada

Donald Trump's second administration is filling up with some of his most loyal supporters and many of the people landing top jobs have been critical of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and security at Canada's border.

One expert says there are not many Canadian allies, so far, in the president-elect's court.

"I don't see a whole lot of friends of Canada in there," said Fen Hampson, a professor of international affairs at Carleton University in Ottawa and co-chair of the Expert Group on Canada-U.S. Relations.

It was a back-and-forth game that came down to a shootout at the Moose Jaw Events Centre last night. Unfortunately, the Moose Jaw Warriors fell 4-3 to the Swift Current Broncos.

"We did lots of good things tonight and at the end it comes down to penalty shots and for whatever reason over the years here, well, since I've been around we've struggled in the shootout. It was what it is, but it was a step in the right direction, but it would be nice to get the win," said Associate Coach, Scott King in a post-game interview with James Gallo.

Warriors fall in shootout to Broncos on Tuesday

Moose Jaw, SK – The Moose Jaw Warriors came up just short in a back-and-forth battle against the Swift Current Broncos on Tuesday night, dropping a 4-3 shootout game at the Moose Jaw Events Centre.

The Warriors and Broncos have needed extra time in both meetings so far this season.

“We were sharp, we were moving pucks quick… we hung around and I thought we did lots of good things tonight,” Warriors associate coach Scott King said after the loss.

Federal government moves to end port work stoppages, orders binding arbitration

Labour Minister Steven MacKinnon intervened Tuesday to end work stoppages at ports in both British Columbia and Montreal, directing the Canada Industrial Relations Board to order the resumption of all operations and move the talks to binding arbitration.

But labour experts and other groups say the minister's decision to intervene in the dispute sets a dangerous precedent that undermines workers' rights.

Moose Jaw, SK – The Moose Jaw Warriors face-off with a familiar foe to open the week at the Hangar.

The Warriors will welcome in the Swift Current Broncos to downtown Moose Jaw for the first half of a midweek home-and-home set between the two rivals.

“Sometimes we struggle with getting into the game early and with Swift, it’s usually not too hard,” Warriors forward Rilen Kovacevic said. “It will be nice to play them back-to-back and get things going right away.”
