Grace Anne Blackhawk (Ajidaamoo) May 9, 1968 – May 17, 2022 We are deeply saddened by the loss of our dear sister, niece, cousin, friend, Grace Anne Blackhawk (Ajidaamoo) Dotem/ Kingfisher, who passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 in Winnipeg, Manitoba at the age of 54 years. Left to mourn her loss is her common-law partner Philip, her children Diane, Shane and Katrina, and her siblings Suzy Seymour (Blackhawk), Patricia (Gizhibaasigeg) (Ian), Percy Giizhe-Maanidoo and Nancy (Ajidaamoos), aunt Clare Katcheconias, uncle Stanley Blackhawk, her nieces and nephews Jessica Stary, Savannah,
Millie Rydberg
Peacefully Millie Rydberg a resident of Pinecrest Home for the aged passed away on May 17, 2022, at the age of 80 years. Millie is survived by her children Scott (wife Debbie), Matthew (wife Karly) Her Grandsons Nathan (wife Helena) Travis, Bodhi, and Rogan. As well as her great granddaughter Willow (Nathan). Mildred was born July 13, 1941 in St. Louis Ml to Mother Jane and step dad Harry Gobleman. Millie and Bob moved to Sioux Narrows in 1978 and became the new owners of Crawford's Camp. It didn't take Millie and Bob long to become active members of the community.
Aime Henry Portier
Aime Henry Portier April 30, 1940 – June 1, 2022 Aime Portier, a resident of Pinecrest Home for the Aged passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at the age of 82. He was predeceased by his parents Eileen and George, brother Aurele, sister Doreen, his life partner Margaret Nordal and his pet cat ‘Smoky”. He is survived by his step-daughters Elene, Jackie and Lisa, as well as his nephew Kurt Foster. Many thanks to the Lake of the Woods District Hospital Staff who cared for Aime before he went to Pinecrest home for the Aged.
Carol Anderson (nee Finch)
In loving memory of Carol Anderson, nee Finch: born May 7, 1951, who left us July 19, 2021 after a short illness and hospital stay. She left behind her loving husband, Rolf; her son, Michael; daughter-in-law, Sue; her mother, Alice Finch; her sisters, brothers and their spouses, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her brother, Douglas; her second husband Gary; her father, Jack Finch and her grandparents. Carol-Ann Natalie Alice. We always teased her that Mom used all the cute names on her.

It’s with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our dear aunt Valerie Johnson on May 15, 2022 in Mesa Arizona at the age of 71.
Valerie was born in Dryden Ontario to Daisy and Harold Barr, who at the time were the owners of Cedar Point Muskie camp in Waldof.

Gary Cameron
It is with such sadness Tricia and Scott share that their Dad Gary has passed. He was held tightly by his two children as he began his journey to reunite with Mom on May 19, 2022. Dad is survived by his daughter Tricia and her husband Ken, his son Scott and his wife Jennifer. He also leaves behind four grandchildren, Brittany (Brett), Mellisa (Willow), Kennedy (Ty) and Spicer, and two great grandchildren Alexander and Oliver. These two little boys showed Papa a kind of love he never knew existed until they were born.

Quinton Land Jr., of Pawitik, Ontario passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2022. Quinton was born May 19, 2022 in Kenora, Ontario. Quinton is survived by his parents Josephine Paypompee and Quinton Land, as well as many other family members too numerous to mention. Wake service will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 beginning at 2:00 pm. Traditional Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2022 with burial to follow in Whitefish Bay First Nation. Hannelore Strecker Once upon a time, there was a German girl who dreamed of exploring the wilds. As fate would have it, war blew up her world and ironically propelled her into realizing that dream. It came in the form of a handsome young Canadian soldier. Born in Hamburg, Germany on October 11, 1927, Hannelore Margarethe Thoss was wooed and spirited away to Kenora in June 1948 by the love of her life, John Strecker. Together, they raised six children and operated a thriving dairy farm.
