1945 – 2024

It is with broken hearts that the family of Fran Perkowitsch announce her passing on Thursday, August 29, 2024 in Regina, SK. Fran was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend and will be deeply missed and always loved.

The Memorial Service for Fran will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Seven Sorrows R.C Church, Lampman, SK with Rev. Sharon Kane presiding, after which a luncheon will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion.

Born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Kenneth Lawrence Steen, beloved father, brother, husband and partner, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family Saturday, July 6th, 2024, at the age of 73.

Lorne Ecker Obituary

1951 ~ 2024 (age 73)

The family of Lorne Gordon Ecker are saddened to announce his passing on Friday, August 30th, 2024 at the age of 73.

Lorne will be lovingly remembered by his sister Loretta (Les) Longmire and his brother Gerry Ecker.

Lorne was predeceased by his brothers Ralph Ecker, Keith Ecker, Ken Ecker, and sister Doreen (Harvey) Beauvais.

Lorne is survived by his sister in laws Sue and Pat Ecker.

At Lorne's request there will be no services held at this time.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of James Allen (Jim) Bailey on Saturday, August 31st, 2024, at the age of 74 years.  Born on April 23rd, 1950, in Moose Jaw, SK, Jim was a kind and loving soul who touched the lives of everyone he met.

The Funeral Service for Mr. John Klassen of Swift Current will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Eastside Church of God.

The interment will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery, Swift Current, SK.

Leonard Friesen, 83, of Grunthal passed away Monday, September 2nd at Menno Home. He is survived by his wife Erna, 1 daughter, 1 son, 1 sister, and their families. He was predeceased by his first 1st wife Betty (Liese) Friesen. 
The funeral service for Leonard Friesen will be held Thursday, September 5th at 11am at Birchwood Funeral Chapel with burial at Grunthal Cemetery. 
Viewing will be at the chapel prior to the service.

Edward George Swayda

With his family by his side, Ed Swayda passed away at home on August 30, 2024, at the age of 79 years.

Left to treasure his memory are his wife Anita; children Rhonda (Trevor) Swayda of Winnipeg and Dean (Phyllis) Swayda of Regina, SK; grandchildren Stefanija, Josef, Sofija, Ben and Will; sister Sharon (Barry) Off of Esterhazy, SK as well as extended family members Ursula and Ken Tebb and family, Gisela Goodman and family, Elfie and Bart Hall and family and James Swayda and family.

Elsie Enns, 90, of Winnipeg formerly of Springstein, passed away Wednesday, August 28th at Grace Hospital. She is survived by 1 daughter, 1 son, 3 sisters, and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Wilhelm (Bill) Enns.  
The funeral service for Elsie Enns will be held Tuesday, September 3rd at 2:30pm at Springstein Mennonite Church at Springstein, Manitoba with burial at Springstein Cemetery. 
Viewing will be at the church 1 hour prior to the service.
