This year’s Hanover Ag Fair is set to be the best one yet! The committee has been hard at work for months now, putting together an event that’s been drawing fans of all ages for years, with some traveling from far and wide to take in bull riding, the mud bog, arm wrestling, Manitoba's Strongest Man competitions, heritage attractions, art, and music.

Sobeys’ Steinbach location is not your ordinary supermarket franchise. An anchor store of the Clearspring Centre, it’s intentional about stocking local foodstuffs in a community where supporting nearby producers is part and parcel of life in the Southeast. 

If August 4th wasn’t already circled on the home and office calendars of the Southeast, it should be highlighted in bright colour, underlined, and then circled again, just because.

For three weeks, AM1250, MIX 96.7FM and COUNTRY 107.7FM radio listeners have been playing to win a trip to see Taylor Swift at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

The Winnipeg Fringe Festival kicks off this Wednesday and a number of local companies will be representing the Southeast.  

The 12-day festival includes plenty of theatre, improv, magic shows, and much, much more.  

Brett Oddly is an escape artist and stunt performer who lives in Blumenort. His show “This Calls for Danger” is in this year’s Winnipeg Fringe Festival.

Pharmasave is open and ready to serve you! Scott Penner, owner and pharmacist at Pharmasave in Steinbach, is looking forward to helping his community get the health help they deserve, especially when they need it most.

“Summer School” doesn’t exactly have the same connotation as “summer camp” or “vacation,” especially for kids.

This is why Scholars of Steinbach, a tutoring service for all ages and grades, is making its programs as fun and flexible as possible through the warmer months.

They are pirates, explorers, wranglers and farmers. Sometimes they play under the sea or in a winter wonderland. But they’re also among the more than 500 campers and athletes so far signed up for programming this year at Tamarack Gymnastics. 

As co-founder Amanda Pierson explains, Tamarack has been operating summer camps since 2021, and the 2023 season will run from July 3rd thru the end of August. What’s new this year, and launched by popular demand, is half-day programs and pre-school camps.
