In other words, place your life in the Saviour’s hands, but stay at the ready. Do all that you can to prepare yourself for battle, understanding that the ultimate outcome rests with the Lord God.

Absolute Silence
Zephaniah 3:17
I am more convinced than ever that there is no way you and I can move toward a deeper, intimate relationship with our God without protracted times of stillness, which includes one of the rarest at all experiences: absolute silence.
Am I sounding more like a mystical dreamer? If so, so was the psalmist who wrote those familiar words we often quote but seldom obey, "Be still, and know that I am God" (Psalm 46:10)...
Grande Prairie RCMP advise of heavy police presence
Grande Prairie RCMP is advising that there is a heavy police presence in the area of 11333 106 Street in Grande Prairie. There is no risk to the public.
Please refrain from posting the actions as police continue their one scene investigation.
An update will be sent when the scene is clear.

Road construction notice for Range Road 61 South of Highway 668
Range Road 61 will be open to all traffic, both local traffic and through traffic from Saturday, June 28 until Monday, June 30 inclusive.
On Tuesday, July 1, the road closure will take effect again for the day. Range Road 61 will be open to local traffic only, and the Canfor Haul Road will be reduced to one lane.
On Wednesday, July 2, the road will be reopened to all traffic.
Speed will be reduced in the construction zone. Obey all signs and flag persons, exercise extreme caution, and allow extra travel time.
GPPS celebrates graduation of fourth Experienced Officer Program
The Grande Prairie Police Service (GPPS) has marked another milestone in its growth with the graduation of its fourth Experienced Officer Program. A ceremony was held the morning of June 27, 2025, in the Rotary Community Room of the Grande Prairie Public Library, attended by dignitaries, colleagues, and family members.
Grande Prairie RCMP Rural GIS conducts arrests after spotting stolen vehicle
On June 19, 2025, Grande Prairie RCMP Rural General Investigation Section (GIS) observed a stolen vehicle in the Clairmont, Alta., area. The vehicle then made its way to Grande Prairie where a traffic stop was conducted by the Grande Prairie RCMP Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) and all occupants were arrested. A search of the vehicle incidental to arrest revealed a loaded sawed-off shotgun with the safety off near a set of zipties.

Grande Prairie RCMP traffic stop leads to arrest warrant execution and drug seizure
On June 7, 2025, Grande Prairie RCMP members conducted a traffic stop on a Jeep Cherokee whose registered owner was wanted on outstanding warrants for failure to comply with court orders.
