Snowy roads lead to multiple collisions in Estevan
Estevan Police Service responded to several accidents on Tuesday as snow continued to cause problems for motorists in the southeast.
EPS responded to a motor vehicle collision in the west-central part of the city, where an eastbound vehicle slid off the road and into a curb. The vehicle was towed due to the damage sustained. No injuries were reported.

Snow and strong winds that have been affecting much of the province are expected to taper off later today, with cooler temperatures settling in as winter takes hold across the southeast.
"So, that low-pressure system that's been impacting most of the province is pulling off. We are expecting the snow and the winds to taper off later this morning into this afternoon. It will be much cooler than it has been over the previous few months, but winter is settling in," said Danielle Dejardins, a warning preparedness meteorologist with Environment Canada.

UPDATE: Highway 1 is open but travel still not recommended
UPDATE 10:03am: Highway 1 east of Regina has been reopened to the public, but the Ministry of Highway is still not recommending travel on the road.
From Balgonie to Whitewood, Highway Hotline is showing reduced visibility on Highway 1. Travel is not recommended on this stretch of road. Snow drifts and ice are plaguing the highway all the way to the Manitoba border.
Back in the southeast, highways around Oxbow, Carnduff, Carrievale and Storthoaks are fully covered with snow with reduced visibility.
