The Eagle Sky Estevan Bruins played a split weekend as they won one game and lost another against their Viterra Division rivals the Melville Millionaires.
In the first game at home on Friday, Melville came out strong, taking the first goal with the Bruins quickly responding with a goal. In the second, the Millionaires took the edge with another goal leading to a 2-1 lead headed into the third.

News broke on Friday that federal Labour Minister Steven MacKinnon was asking the Canada Industrial Relations Board to order the Canadian Union of Postal Workers back to work if the board agreed with his determination there was an impasse in negotiations. If the board agrees with his assessment, it would see the striking employees return to their jobs, and work under the existing collective agreements until this coming May.

At 51-year-old it isn't too late for Swift Current Broncos legend Todd Holt to live another hockey dream. He came out of retirement for one night only to play with his sons Kaelan and Taysen Holt on the Carlyle Cougars.
"I'm sure it'll be very emotional later," Holt said. "I've played a lot of big hockey and been drafted to the (San Jose) Sharks and stuff like that, but this would rank up as one of the most exciting days of my life."
Suspect in Lonethunder death arrested in Regina, to appear in Estevan court
The RCMP reported over the weekend the second suspect in the murder of Talon Lonethunder was arrested last week.
Dwayne Maxie, who was wanted on a charge of manslaughter, was arrested Thursday in Regina by the Regina Police Service. He was remanded into custody and is scheduled to make an appearance in Estevan Provincial Court on Monday morning.

Southeast drenched in freezing rain over weekend, causing slick conditions
The southeast was hit by a system over the weekend which left quite a layer of ice overtop of the roads and highways of the area.
Down in the southeast corner, most roads connected to Estevan received a travel not recommended warning, which has been revised as the situation changes.
