The Swift Current Comp. Ardens are the SHSAA 5A Volleyball Provincial champions, having capped off a remarkable season on Saturday.
Swift Current scored a perfect 3-0 record on Friday in round-robin action, defeating Prince Albert Carleton, Weyburn, and Saskatoon St. Joseph without losing a set.
Regina Campbell beat the Ardens in three sets to complete round-robin play on Saturday morning.
Swift Current won their pool drawing fourth-ranked Regina LeBoldus in the quarterfinals beating them 25-19 and 25-15.

The proposed change to the Canada Elections Act is among several measures chief electoral officer Stéphane Perrault is putting forward to address the use of deepfakes and other artificially created content to fool voters.
In an interview, Perrault said he is "hoping to convince" MPs to expand an electoral reform bill, currently in a House of Commons committee, to include some new elements.

Returning officer Clint Mauthe gave Notice of Abandonment of Poll as the mayor and town councillors have been acclaimed.
Sharon Schauenberg has been acclaimed as mayor. She is turning for her second term as the mayor of Assiniboia. Schauenberg was first elected in 2020 and became the first woman to be elected as the mayor in the town’s history.
City RCMP apprehend Queen City man wanted on warrant
The Swift Current City RCMP arrested a wanted man from Regina near Urban Cellars on November 8.
Police located a vehicle that was associated with the adult wanted by the Regina Police Service.
The City RCMP officers conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver at the scene on his outstanding warrant from Regina.
No details of the outstanding warrant or his name were released.

Conservation officers investigating deer remains near Buffalo Pound
Moose Jaw conservation officers are investigating after the remains of two mule deer were illegally dumped near Buffalo Pound Lake.
On Tuesday, the officers received a Turn in Poachers and Polluters (TIPP) call that two mule deer buck heads and hides were found dumped on land without permission north of Buffalo Pound Lake.
