SaskPower says repairs have been made and power has been restored to affected customers from this outage.
The Crown corporation added that if power hasn't been restored to any customers in this area, to call them at 310-2220.

A power outage is affecting the areas around Climax and Frontier.
SaskPower has dispatched crews that are looking to determine the cause of the issue.
Severe storm approaching Swift Current with warning issued
A severe thunderstorm watch has been put in place for Swift Current and the area.
Reports of storms moving east have already shown signs of extreme winds, hail, and damage to power lines.
The storms approaching Swift Current are a result of a ridge of low-pressure air moving in from Alberta.
People are not only being warned that the wind is capable of destroying roofs, fences and branches, but that fast-moving water may cause flash flooding.
Locals are asked to remain in their homes and to avoid travelling if possible.
UPDATE: Severe wind and storm shreds infrastructure near Leader

SaskPower says crews are working on damaged power poles affecting customers in Leader and in the surrounding areas in the north and west.
The Crown corporation says Wednesday night's weather conditions caused the outage that's expected to be restored by 4 a.m. on Thursday.

RCMP ask for help with two missing youths
Swift Current RCMP are once again asking for the public's help regarding two missing youths last seen in the city.
Both 17-year-old Ray-Anne Klseyinewakup and 16-year-old Gillis Cook were last seen on the afternoon of July 10, 2025, on Herbert Street East in Swift Current.

Agriculture Canada modelling expects above average yields for most crops
Agriculture Canada is predicting solid yields for most crops on the Prairies, based on computer modelling that was done at the end of July.
“At the national level, the CCYF (Canadian Crop Yield Forecaster) model predicts above-average yields per unit area for 11 of the 12 spring-planted crops compared to the average yields of 2020-24,” says an executive summary of the Agriculture Canada predictions, published on a website called Canadian Crop Metrics.

CCA pleased with the Federal Tax Deferral Program; but cautions more areas may need to be included
The Federal Government announced the designated and buffer areas for the 2025 Livestock Tax Deferral Program this week.
The Livestock Tax Deferral provision allows livestock producers in prescribed areas, who are forced to sell all or part of their breeding herd due to drought, excess moisture or flooding, to defer a portion of their income from sales until the following tax year.

Swift Current's Kai Foster limited Manitoba's offence Wednesday morning, helping backstop Team Sask to its second straight win at the Canada Summer Games in St. John's, Newfoundland.
Foster and Team Sask beat Manitoba 5-3 in men's box lacrosse to move to 2-0 in pool play and will face 1-1 New Brunswick on Wednesday night.

Fehr family says Danny will be heading home
The family of a local man in stable condition in a Texas hospital says he will be on his way home in the coming days.
Danny Fehr, who was bitten by a rattlesnake on July 27 while golfing and has since been in an Odessa hospital, will be on his way back to Canada.
His wife, Stephanie Fehr, posted on social media saying the journey home is only being made possible by the efforts of their family, e-transfers, and the GoFundMe. The GoFundMe has raised nearly $44,000.
RCMP searching for missing man known to frequent Swift Current
Assiniboia RCMP are asking the public to report any and all sightings of a missing man.
Philippe 'Phil' Beaulieu was last seen on July 19 in Mossbank.
The 40-year-old is described as being six feet tall and weighing 200 pounds. He has grey eyes with short blonde hair. Notable markings include a diamond tattoo on his cheek and a nose piercing.
Officers believe Phil may have been in the area near Fairford Street East in Moose Jaw on July 25. He is known to frequent Assiniboia, Ponteix, and Swift Current.
