Utility upgrades completed in Grandview
The intersection of Ross Street and 43 Avenue will reopen to motorists today (Nov. 26), as the newly installed traffic light infrastructure is operational.
The extensive 43 Avenue and Ross Street project began in April 2024, and included upgrades to water, sanitary, storm, and electric utility infrastructure, along with improved traffic lights and rehabilitation of the roadway.

Ponoka business owners reminded to renew licences before Dec. 31
Businesses in the Town of Ponoka have until December 31 to renew their business licences for the 2025 year.
Businesses that operate, provide or sell a product or service within or partially within the Town of Ponoka corporate boundaries are required to have a valid Ponoka business licence and renew it annually as per the Business Licence Bylaw No. 443-20.
Approved business licences for the 2024 year will expire on December 31, 2024.
Firefighters battle North End blaze, nearby streets closed
Winnipeg fire crews are busy Tuesday morning battling a fire in the city's North End.
The blaze, which broke out at around 12:45 a.m. in a vacant one-and-a-half-storey home in the 600 block of Alfred Avenue, was discovered by a Winnipeg Police Service crew driving through the area.
They immediately notified the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service. When crews arrived, heavy smoke and flames were pouring out of the building
Young Airdronian drops new single and music video
Young Airdronian Hayley Isabel has recently released a new single called Colour Changing, along with a music video.
Being her third single, her fans have been able to listen to it for a few weeks. She explained what the song is about and how she relates to it.
"I wrote this song with Sonia Deleo, which was super fun. It is about leaving your old self behind and finding your new self, which can be scary sometimes and sad."
New website launched to explain Alberta's planned auto insurance changes
The Alberta government is planning on making changes to auto insurance in the province.
On November 21, the provincial government announced they are introducing a privately delivered, care-focused auto insurance system after hearing from over 16,000 Albertans.
As part of those changes, those Albertans who suffer catastrophic injuries due to a collision will receive treatment and care for the rest of their lives, and those who sustain serious injuries will receive treatment until they are fully recovered.

It was quite the sight to see in Vulcan on Saturday afternoon.
Between 92 and 96 runners dressed up like Santa Claus running through the snow for a 5k fun run.
The Jingle all the 5K event was supported by the Town of Vulcan for their inaugural fun walk/run.
Once the runners made it over the finish line, they were treated to hot chocolate and a barbeque.
