Perry Folk Award presented to two 'Good Guys': Winston Bailey, Lyman Sergeant
The Perry Folk Award was presented on Thursday at the Weyburn Golf Club for 2024 and 2025 to two people whose names have been mentioned for the award over the years: Winston Bailey and Lyman Sergeant.
Kevin Folk explained the award isn't about how much volunteering the person does, or how many meetings they attend, but it's about their contributions to the social aspect of the clubhouse, all in line with the legacy of his late brother Perry.

Paige Tenbult, the Communications Co-ordinator with the City of Weyburn, acknowledged the issue and noted, “Gophers are a part of our landscape in Saskatchewan, and we’re seeing an increase in their numbers, not just here in Weyburn but across the province.”

Vincent Peter Bernard, late of Trossachs, SK passed away on July 21, 2025 at the age of 81 years.
He was predeceased by his father, Virgil Bernard.

Week 4 starts on Monday, July 28th, and week 6 begins on August 18th. New campers can sign up for $140 per week, and returning campers can sign on for $120 per week.
AgraCity restarts packaging and product fulfillment operations
AgraCity - a generic crop input supplier - sending out an important notice yesterday to its clients thanking them for their patience while they work through their operational restructuring after experiencing cash flow problems.
AgraCity owes product to a number of farmers and is attempting to reimburse growers for crop inputs they bought but did not receive.
The company announced they have restarted their packaging and product fulfillment operations and will be making products available to customers soon.
