Broncos drop Tuesday Nighter to Americans
The Swift Current Broncos (13-7-0-0) dropped their first loss at home since October 12, falling 3-1 to the Tri-City Americans (14-5-1-0) Tuesday night.
Despite hitting the post twice early in the first, Broncos forward Luke Mistelbacher (Steinbach, MB) would continue to carry his hot hand with his 14th goal of the season from Josh McGregor (Brandon, MB) & Carlin Dezainde (Calgary, AB). With the goal, Mistelbacher has a league high 15 game point streak.

The Winnipeg Jets broke a two-game losing streak in style tonight, delivering a 6-3 victory over the Florida Panthers at a sold-out Canada Life Centre.
The win comes on the heels of a 5-0 defeat to the Panthers on Nov. 16 and a loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning earlier. It also ensure the Jets stay atop the entire NHL with 32 points at a record of 16-3.
Wildcats game postponed due to weather
The Swift Current Innovation Federal Credit Union Wildcats are staying home tonight.
Due to road conditions from the snowfall, the Wildcats have postponed their game scheduled for tonight in Saskatoon.
That game will be made up at a later date.
Swift Current doesn't have another Saskatchewan Female U18 AAA Hockey League game on their schedule until Saturday, November 30th in Weyburn.
The Wildcats sit second in the league standings and are two points up on Saskatoon.
Sr. Boys Volleyball Team proud of growth despite provincial setback
The Estevan Comprehensive School Sr. Boys' Volleyball Team participated in provincials this past weekend. While they did not claim the title, the Estevan squad gave it their all, battling through several tough matches and challenges.
Agra Risk Wheatland Kings lose for first time in over a month
The Agra Risk Wheatland Kings had a tough weekend, losing their first game in over a month.
The Kings lost their first matchup in eight games, 3-1 versus the Coaldale Copperheads on Saturday (Nov. 16).
The club will hit the ice this weekend to take on the Cannex Cochrane Generals at 8:15 p.m. on Saturday (Nov. 23) and the Rocky Rams on Sunday (Nov. 24) at 4:30 p.m.
Humboldt Curling Leagues Cancelled for Tuesday
Due to weather conditions, all curling leagues at the Humboldt Curling Club has been cancelled for Tuesday November 19.
Terriers making up ground in the CJHL Power Rankings
The Portage Terriers continue to impress across the nation, with their second week in a row being ranked in the top 20 teams in the CJHL.
Portage was ranked 17 in the previous week, and they have now climbed 3 spots to move into 14, with minimal upheaval in front of them.
The Terriers have won 12 of their last 13 contests and take to the ice again on Wednesday evening to take on the Niverville Nighthawks.
Curling season gets underway this week for RDP teams
This past week, the RDP Volleyball squads defeated the Concordia University Thunder.
The Queens Basketball team earned a victory while the Kings dropped a close game to the Thunder.
The Queens Hockey team was downed by the Lakeland College Rustlers.
This week, the Red Deer Polytechnic Curling team will begin the 2024/2025 Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) season in Camrose.
The RDP Queens Hockey team will host the Medicine Hat College Rattlers in a pair of games.

This weekend will be a treat for hockey fans to get a chance to catch a unique form of the sport. The 8th Kindersley Sledge Hockey Tournament kicks off on November 23 and 24 with teams joining from Saskatchewan and Alberta.
Long-time Sylvan Lake football coach stepping down after near-perfect season
Sylvan Lake Bears Pee Wee head coach Garnet Rambaut is stepping down after a near-perfect season.
Rambaut has coached minor football for 23 years, the last 16 of those as head coach with the Bears.
He talked about the decision to step aside as the head coach.
"It's time to bring newer people in, it allows me to move on," he said. "I'm not leaving coaching, but I am leaving the head coaching to the younger guys. It's time."
