Weyburn Wildlife Federation to host Walleye Classic
Anglers from across the region will be making their way to Mainprize Regional Park this weekend for one of the Weyburn Wildlife Federation’s most anticipated events of the year — the 2025 Walleye Classic.
The annual fishing tournament is set for Saturday, June 7, with lines in the water from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Teams of two or three can register for the competition, with a registration fee of $200 per team. However, for teams choosing to include a third member, that angler must be 15 years of age or younger.

The Muenster and District Donor’s Choice campaign is back for another year, and this time, they’ve got some help from some friends.
Keep an eye out on Tuesday, June 10 as Grades 7 and 8 students from Muenster School will be coming around with your Donor’s Choice forms. If you’re not at home to receive them, check your front doors. Forms for rural residents have been mailed out.

Humboldt SPCA needs help with the big move
After much work, a flurry of renovations and critical preparations, the Humboldt and District SPCA staff and board say they are ready for the big move to their new location. The SPCA acquired property and buildings just south of its current location.
The moving dates are Friday June 20 and Saturday June 21, and the call is out for volunteers and casual helpers to ship everything, including the animals over.
