The City of Calgary has launched a goat program to control invasive plants.
Is this something we could do in Cochrane? I would love to see goats munching away on weeds at Riverview Park, Cochrane Ranche, and Mitford Pond.
Four-year-old's stargazing dreams take flight with new telescope
After selling snacks outside her house for weeks at her 'Space Station Snacks,' Isabella Lauzon is over the moon, quite literally, after finally receiving her telescope, thanks to the support of her community.
She looked out of her telescope for the first time a couple of nights ago, and she was so excited to see the moon.
Her mother, Haley Lauzon, reflected on the overwhelming support they received.

Mid-September meant it was time for him to put away the golf clubs and the spikes and shine up the shotgun and the boots for hunting season.
We'd pack a lunch and head out to the country, looking for ducks and geese, partridge and prairie chicken.
So long summer - Spray park closes this weekend
With the fall season just days away, the SLS Centre has announced the spray park is closing this weekend for the season.
"Sunday, September 22 is the final day to splash around before we close for the winter," reads a post on the SLS Centre's Facebook page. "Winterization starts Monday, September 23, so don't miss your last chance to soak up some fun."
The spray park returned this July after major repairs were required to the area.

Head to the Uniplex parking lot on Friday night for the Humboldt Broncos Car Bingo. The gate opens at 5:30 pm with the games starting at 6:15 sharp.

Cram a cruiser returns this weekend
Instead of filling the backseats with suspects, The Grande Prairie RCMP will be cramming their cruisers with donations of non-perishable food items and essentials in support of the Grande Prairie Salvation Army.
Detachment officers and staff will be present Saturday and Sunday September 21/22 at the Save-On-Foods (10819 106 Avenue, Grande Prairie) from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
