We're not exactly close friends but I know him well enough to tell you he's a warm and gentle fella. He's polite and very kind and very grateful to still be with us today.

Tyler Lister is a Moose Jaw guy who took a life-saving flight in a STARS helicopter from Moose Jaw to Regina to get the specialized care he needed as he battled to breathe due to pneumonia.

So, the last few days(well, beyond the last few, but the last few WORKING days) I've been home sick. But this always begs the question; What can you actually DO on a sick day?

Medical emergencies can develop in an instant for anyone.  

Even if someone collapses or has a serious accident a block away from the hospital, the fear, uncertainty, and pressure of the moment can be earth-shattering.  

What happens, then, when the same thing happens kilometres away from a hospital, in the remote and sometimes harsh expanse of nature or farmland?  

For Paula Johnson, who was bucked off her horse on a birthday expedition that had already taken her across water, through an elk herd, and past grazing cattle, there was no going back. Only up.

To celebrate April Fools' Day, the Agra Risk Wheatland Kings created a humorous post on social media.

The post claimed that the Western Hockey League (WHL) would be granting an expansion franchise to the Kings for the upcoming season.

"The Wheatland Kings will be eligible to make WHL transactions starting April 1, 2025," wrote the Kings in the April Fools' Day post.

The post received positive feedback from fans, with one resident jokingly congratulating the team for making it into the WHL.

For people who love concerts, this may be a familiar occurrence. Attending two concerts across the province in as many days was a new experience for me early this week.

I haven't been much of a concert-goer until recently. Sure, I've been to concerts in the past and enjoyed them. However, now that I've started going to more live performances in the last few months, it's a new joy in life that I've discovered.

The team at Cochrane Nissan was all smiles as they gathered to enjoy fresh coffee and treats thanks to the McCafé Coffee Break!

It was a long time coming for Isla, whose name was finally drawn after years of entering to win Classroom of the Month! We visited Mrs. Hanson’s 7A class at Spruce Ridge School and brought along a delicious feast from KFC Estevan and tasty treats from the Southern Plains Co-op.
