We're not exactly close friends but I know him well enough to tell you he's a warm and gentle fella. He's polite and very kind and very grateful to still be with us today.

Strathmore hockey team showcases humourous side with April Fools' Day post

To celebrate April Fools' Day, the Agra Risk Wheatland Kings created a humorous post on social media.

The post claimed that the Western Hockey League (WHL) would be granting an expansion franchise to the Kings for the upcoming season.

"The Wheatland Kings will be eligible to make WHL transactions starting April 1, 2025," wrote the Kings in the April Fools' Day post.

The post received positive feedback from fans, with one resident jokingly congratulating the team for making it into the WHL.

Two days and two unforgettable concerts

For people who love concerts, this may be a familiar occurrence. Attending two concerts across the province in as many days was a new experience for me early this week.

I haven't been much of a concert-goer until recently. Sure, I've been to concerts in the past and enjoyed them. However, now that I've started going to more live performances in the last few months, it's a new joy in life that I've discovered.
