Two bodies recovered on Saturday from Smokey River

On Saturday, July 20th McLennan RCMP confirmed the recovery of two bodies from the Smokey River.

The individuals had been reported missing on the evening of July 17, after being swept away by the river's strong current.

Despite the swift response and extensive search efforts by emergency services, the rescue mission turned into a recovery operation.

RCMP send deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
