Hundreds of ‘Golden Ticket’ holders gathered at Wendy’s in Steinbach on Thursday with the hopes of walking away with a Premier Building’s shed filled with prizes.
Gregg Penner was the final contestant standing and won the grand prize.
Penner says his 8-year-old son is really the reason he was in the running in the first place.
"Every morning on the way to daycare, he's like 'Dad, call in, call in!' And we win the shed and he's not even here."
Though his son wasn't at the grand finale, Penner says he will certainly get to share in the winnings.
"He's gonna love it because he wants his own playhouse and he can have this."

During the past couple of months, SteinbachOnline readers and AM1250, MIX 96.7FM and COUNTRY 107.7FM listeners have been striving to get their hands on a Golden Ticket, calling and texting during morning shows, entering online, and spinning the wheel at various locations in the Southeast.
Only 250 Golden Tickets were printed, and the last ones were given away on Thursday, one hour prior to the giveaway of the shed.
