It was a great afternoon in Blumenort for their Fun and Fair Days. The community came together to celebrate 150 years!
The day kicked off with a free pancake breakfast and some members of the community shared their favourite Blumenort stories and memories.
It continued with a bike decorating contest and parade! The Stand Market will be open all evening as well.

Fall is here and events are not slowing down. Another busy weekend in the Southeast coming up with lots of food and fun.
Blumenort celebrates 150 years at Fun and Fair Days, and the fun will kick off on Friday with mini donuts, cotton candy, and a movie in the park beginning at 8:30 pm.
Fun at the Mennonite Heritage Village: Fall on the Farm in photos
What better way to end off September long weekend than by spending the day at the Mennonite Heritage Village (MHV)?
Fall on the Farm took place, and they had pioneer demonstrations, including windmill flour milling, steam engine threshing, sawmill demonstrations, and more.
There were also tours of the museum grounds and lots of activities for the kids.
SHEDTACULAR win wraps up Wendy’s Show Us Your Summer contest
Hundreds of ‘Golden Ticket’ holders gathered at Wendy’s in Steinbach on Thursday with the hopes of walking away with a Premier Building’s shed filled with prizes.
Gregg Penner was the final contestant standing and won the grand prize.
Penner says his 8-year-old son is really the reason he was in the running in the first place.
"Every morning on the way to daycare, he's like 'Dad, call in, call in!' And we win the shed and he's not even here."
Though his son wasn't at the grand finale, Penner says he will certainly get to share in the winnings.
Join MHV for Fall on the Farm this September long weekend
The summer has flown by, and September long weekend is already here.
Many will be busy camping or getting ready to go back to school, and if you are looking for something to do, stop by the Mennonite Heritage Village (MHV).
Robert Goertzen, Interim Executive Director and Program Manager at MHV says both their Canada Day and Pioneer Days events had very good attendance and he looks forward to their event coming up on Monday.
Moto-enthusiasts come out for race day: Grunthal Motocross in photos
Motocross weekend in Grunthal kicked off yesterday with practicing and pit bike races in the evening.
The racers had an early morning today, beginning at 6 am to 7 am for registration with practice starting at 8 am.
Moto 1 began at 9 am with 16 different categories including 250cc Junior, Open Pro, 50cc 7-8, and 2-stroke Junior, just to name a few. Racers get from 10 minutes to 15 minutes plus one lap to race.
Marchand Logging Days in photos
Another busy weekend for Marchand as they celebrate 40 years of Logging Days and this year, they brought back the second day of Logging Days.
They had lots of activities for the kids including bouncy castles, face painting, barrel train rides, and if they were feeling brave, they could join in on the kids mud bog!

Today was the 54th annual Kleefeld Honey Festival and the day was filled with lots of fun activities including a kid’s area with many bouncy castles, bubble soccer, face painting, bubbles, train rides, and more.
A beach volleyball tournament went on, as well as the Cornerstone Fire Fighters Challenge which was super fun to watch!

On Wednesday afternoon, Villa Youville hosted a scooter parade for their residents.
