Summer isn’t over yet and there’s lots of events going on before it ends!
Check out what you can do this weekend in the Southeast:
Niverville CRRC Family Fun – Friday, September 13
Niverville Community Resource and Recreation Centre is hosting a week-long Come-Try-It event and it will be complete with a fun evening on Friday.
The Young Kids Open Gym Program will be available to try from 9 am – 12 pm and the indoor playground will be open all day.
Public skating from 3:30 pm to 4:45 pm followed by the opportunity to skate with the Nighthawks from 5 pm to 6 pm.
Meet and race against the Providence Pilots on the track or obstacle course. Test your soccer skills or try out some basketball from 5 pm to 8 pm.
Face painting and autographs from the Nighthawks will also be going on in the evening.
Dawson Trail Days – September 13 – 14
Fun in Ste. Anne going on this weekend for their annual event. The festivities will kick off on Friday with ‘Dancing the Decades Family Sock Hop’ at the Curling Club beginning at 6 pm.
The fun will continue to Saturday with a full schedule. Pancake breakfast starting at 8 am at the Fire Hall followed by the parade at 11 am.
Party in the Park will be a highlight of the day with entertainment all afternoon, petting zoo, face painting, foam party, watermelon eating contest, and more from 12pm to 4:30 pm.
The evening will continue with the Teen Wild West Dance and end with a firework show.
Kailer Rogal Memorial Fundraiser – Saturday, September 14
Lisa and Mike Rogal lost their son to suicide and each year since his passing, they have held a fundraiser in his name.
This year, all proceeds will be donated to the Drop Zone in Grunthal.
People can expect live performances, kid's activities, a silent auction, and more.
Head over to the Hanover Ag grounds in Grunthal to raise money and awareness for mental health and suicide prevention.
Heartland Rodeo – September 14 – 15
Hanover Ag is back with another exciting weekend for Heartland Rodeo Finals and Banquet.
Join them on Saturday and Sunday at 1 pm for bareback riding, bull riding, steer wrestling, barrel racing and so much more.
The Banquet will take place on Saturday evening at 6:30 pm for $50. Tickets can be purchased at the gate.
Honey Run – Saturday, September 14
Join Kleefeld for their seventh annual 5km Honey Run at 10 am. Run for a chance to win honey and money!
This year, they are also hosting a Mini Milk Run for the younger kids at 9 am. Distance will range from 300m to 1200m.
