Large structure fire in Peace River forces people to evacuate

Peace River RCMP and local fire services responded to a large structure fire this afternoon.

They are asking the public to avoid the North End area of Peace River, specifically the area of 77th Avenue to allow the free flow of emergency vehicles.

An update will follow as more information becomes available.

Peace River RCMP is advising that a reception center for evacuees is being set up at the Baytex Energy Centre.
